Current Need: Digital Communications Volunteer

Friends of Lake Quannapowitt (FOLQ) is looking for a Digital Communications Volunteer to help keep our community connected. If you have a few hours a week to manage our Facebook and Instagram pages and make simple updates to our WordPress website, we would love to have you on board! It is a fully remote, highly flexible role that helps keep our supporters informed.

What you’ll do:

  • Write and post weekly updates on Facebook and Instagram to highlight lake news, FOLQ events and general interest stories.
  • Monitor comments and respond and/or notify FOLQ’s board.
  • Update the homepage, events calendar, and other areas of the site as needed on our WordPress-based website.
  • If interested, write articles related to Lake Quannapowitt on subjects like related happenings, public education, and general lake info.

Time Requested: 1-2 hours per week during busy seasons (spring and fall) – less during winter and summer

Ideal Skills: Experience with WordPress, Facebook, and Instagram, and using scheduling programs like Meta Business, Hootsuite, etc.
